Reflection assignment

1. This assignment was easier than I expected. I thought I would forget the steps necessary to make the shapes. I ended up knowing what to do, and it felt good. If I were to do this project differently, I would work a little faster. I felt as if I was a little bit slow whenever I was working.

Simple Shapes, Complex Designs

My partner and I worked well together. We came up with some cool ideas for our project. We also worked fluently to finish the ideas, while adding some personal touches. The project was a little bit easier than expected. I thought I was going to struggle with coding errors, but it turned out to be easy. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment.

Algorithm

Algorithm: A set of instructions that something needs to follow to complete a task. 

Examples: 

• In order to make a pizza, you must follow a certain set of rules to make it.
• To turn on a computer, you must follow some steps to do so
• In order to drive a car, you must accomplish rules to drive it.

The PB and J activity demonstrated this because we had to follow certain steps to stack the cups in a certain way. 

Computer Experience

Before today, I knew absolutely nothing about computer science. Today, that has changed. I have learned a little about the big world of computer science. I learned that computers are very specific in the commands that they are told to do. Furthermore, I have learned that repeating actions are called "loops." I still have a long way to go on the road to success in computer science, but I believe I am on the right path.
